    • http://terencedevine.com Terence

Me too! not as good with tables as I should be : /

      • http://alexbachuk.com Alex

I missed one with tables too (and got 91.67%), I guess that’s because I don’t use table in web design!!!

        • Odog4ever

Glad to see I’m not the only one rusty on tables. :)

    • http://narottamajati.com naro

i missed that table question too

  • http://vincentklaiber.com/ Vincent Klaiber

    • http://tommybrunn.com Href Svensson

As a Swede, I can confirm that href, title and rel are all Swedish names.

    Gah! damn table question.

  • http://www.snaptin.com Ian Yates

Funny that the table question seems to be tripping some folk up – a sign of the times I guess! I sense a tables tut coming :P

    • Paul

May well be needed, that Q was my only downfall. There are still important places to use them but they still confuse me.
Maybe even an email markup tut aye ;)

      • Preston

I agree, an email template tut would be nice. I’ve managed to avoid working on email templates for a long time and recently got tasked with building and testing HTML emails in a hurry. I managed to get it done and looking good, and even got a few tricks to get the layout as I wanted, but a tut focused on doing things that are easy in CSS but difficult when dealing with tables and strict email clients would be awesome.

A plug to the tool that saved my ass is warranted. Check out Premailer if you haven’t already. It’s wonderful.

  • http://www.rezidenca-celigo.com Andrea

Also I got 91.67%, i failed the question number 9… shit

  • http://ecustom.ca/ Lucas C

Yeah! 100%. The tables one stumped me for a little bit, but then I got it.

Ian, as long as you’re showing us how to style a table to show data in a pretty matter, and not creating a layout with them. ;)

    • http://www.snaptin.com Ian Yates

Nonsense! Proper use of spacer.gif images is a forgotten art! I reckon I could fill a whole session….

You’ll need javascript enabled in your browser, but assuming that’s OK the questions should be right in front of your eyes! Hit the green Start Quiz button..

      • http://www.rcdmk.com Rcdmk

        Maybe it’s Internet Explorer.
I’ve tested it in IE9 and the quiz doesn’t show up.

      • http://artwonder.ru Anthony

Oh! That’s sound great. I think on FireWorks – more interesting cause it’s supports the Fireworks session :)

  • J

  • http://chrismorgan.info Chris Morgan

“Which of the following tags has been depreciated (removed) in the HTML5 spec?”

“depreciated” is quite different from “deprecated”. And deprecation is quite different from removal. Deprecation means that you are recommended to not use it, but it is still conforming. The strike tag has not been deprecated; it is not conforming. You should say that it has been “made obsolete”.

    • http://www.snaptin.com Ian Yates
      Author

Silly typo Chris, thanks for pointing it out – I’ll update the quiz : ) The tag in question has been deprecated though, not made obsolete (yet).

  • http://shekhardesigner.com Bharat

  • http://www.princea.com Agi Masekela

Ah got two wrong :-(. Not bad though I suppose. lol

  • http://fantikerz.com/ Ryan Hamilton

Just a technical note: on slide 8, the correct term for HTML is initialism, not acronym. When the letters do not form a word that you’re able to vocalize (like NASA or BART), that’s a sign that it’s not an acronym.
