I for once fall under this category

My workaround during those times were to imitate websites.

*Search for minimalist webdesign, that’s where I started :D*

After doing so, I came to realize what they have that I don’t

      Then after 3 – 4 times of imitating a website, I became more user-friendly website maker :D

My first corporate Client is this website : Nutrifit.ph :D

Ha ha. That 6 and 7 really made me laugh. Why do people put background music on websites?

    • http://www.webdesignlift.com windo

Uhm., I created a website with background music (embedded in flash) in 2004., ha ha, I think it was because flash trend back then.

ha ha “not this one – Comic Sans” never a truer word spoken :)

Lol, this is hilarious !., at the same time (of course) educating too!., I want my client to read this but I think this is not their thing (or not?).

Funny Halloween style reminder indeed ;) Luckily I can only catch myself on some still, but far from all of them… I remember the days where anything moving around on the screen was “new” and “fresh” and also very irritating. same goes for blinking text (did attract attention though… attention to stear clear of the website :p )

I know that Danny Ashton is, at least in part, joking and I really don’t want to come off as some kind of jerk (or, because ’tis Halloween, a vampire from Twilight).

    But.

Every “advice” above is moot. And ten years old. Does anyone relevent design sites like this any more, apart from leftovers from MySpace? Seriously?

Of course, when you go to Mint Leaf’s website, you see a load spiral as their Flash animation loads. Isn’t that violating two of their rules?

    • http://www.jayjamero.com Jay Jamero

Dharma – Sites built entirely on flash, definitely a no no these days. Sites including SOME flash is fine as long as it can degrade to something else such as a jQuery version of the flash element. Try turning your flash off, you can still use the site.
