shame coda is only for Mac OS systems. Hopefully notepad++ is a featured program in this series!.

Great video, but a note to Envato…the ads on these videos are ridiculous when they constantly keep popping back up after you close them time and time again. I’m more than happy to pay $40 a month to experience the sites 100% ad free!

I’m with Chad. The ads on this video make it unwatchable. This is the worst case of aggressive marketing I’ve ever seen. Completely useless.

Heya Mike – I just disabled advertising on the quick tip video… they shouldn’t have ever been there, sorry about that!

Heya Chad – the ads are now gone – I actually didn’t realize that the overlays were even turned on, so I’ve disabled them for the entire site for the time being ;) Thanks for the heads up!

This is a very good topic. Developers should have a good grasp of web tools and utilities. There is a good link at Thought Results that tries to aggregate the links of these tools in one place.

For other users OS such as windows, you may use notepad++ and zend coding plugin.
it same functionality as coda, and work a lot for me.

Nice, never knew aboutnthe text indent shortcut, handy!

One thing I wish coda could do is the abiliypty to double click a class within an HTML file and coda would then take me to the relevant class within my CSS file..

A windows program used to do it.. Top style..? Summit like that. – was very handy indeed. If coda did this, perfection would be present!

    Great few tips there.

A personal favorite in Coda (among many) is the multi-line editing with the “alt” key, click different line while holding, or drag select, then edit the same column in all the lines. Great lists.

I noticed your code completion is different than mine… what plug-ins do you have in your coda arsenal

Sorry, but i guess i’ll have to agree with Chad this time around. It’s a lil bit annoying at times. Wouldn’t mind paying for something ad free :D
