great I found the info about the kuler plugin useful as I have never heard of it. always wondered if photoshop had a color pallette like illlustrator does. thanks!

  • Andre

Thanks for the tips, didn’t know about the application window. :-)

Isn’t it better to use layer masks instead of a clipping mask when using adjustment layers?

I feel as if the info box should have the hex code for the color instead of RGB.

From now on I’ll be including links to the source of each video (HD 720) and a reminder that all our screencasts can be watched by subscribing via iTunes (see links under the video player).

You can also view all our videos on the Webdesigntuts+ blip.tv channel. That should have you covered I think!

I’m with Parth. Info should definitely have hex codes!

Good video, there is always a noob in need.

Surprisingly, I use everything you’ve mentioned Adi, and that’s never happened before. Usually, I would have about one to 3 things I’ve never done here lol.

Thanks for this video Adi, this video was very helpful

  • hessel

Maybe it would be usefull but i had to turn it off after 10 seconds beacause of boring and monotonic narration that made me feel like I was beginning an hour of torture just to know some shortcuts. Please, if You have something valuable to tell – do it fast and with expression. Check out how guys on Ted.com are making a 20 minutes talk that summarizes subjects for a whole book. Sorry for my english, best regards

Can’t remember if this was covered in the video or not, but if you’re doing mostly web work you should also swap the CMYK Color info displayed in the Info panel with Web Color info. You can change that and a few more things in the Info Panel Options for that panel (in the same menu for closing the tab or group in the top-right).

this site just never stops giving!

  • Noob

Pretty boring movie… This is a talking description of the main interface, ridiculous

  • brent

Decent tips. BRUTAL narration. I’ll come back to this site when I need a sedative.

God. You know Photoshop, learn an editing application. It’s not hard.

I love to use Smart Layers and their ability to recycle (much like in instances in 3ds Max and precomps in After Effects).
