I love tutsplus, no doubt. The content here is amazing. When I first come across these websites, I was like wow, I am all set for life.

I have just one complaint though, and maybe I am the odd man out here. Adi, you are an amazing designer and your tutorials are really good. But I wish, there were more of ‘text and screenshots’ based tutorials. I don’t know what is tough, making video tuts or text based ones. But video tutorials seems to become the trend now. There are tons of tons of them out there.

Ofcourse the quality of tutsplus content is different, and people like you, Adi, make it even better. But I don’t know how to justify myself as I am not too good with words. It’s just that my comfort level is much more with text based tutorials. I can skip some content. I can have a quick glance over what a tutorial is all about. If I lost my focus for a second, I an read the line again (instead of trying to figure out in the video, where to start again from). For beginners like me, who can’t afford high speed internet in a country like India, I have to wait for the buffering, or downloading the video takes a lot of time and space in my machine (space is not really an issue though). I can copy some text that I think is important for me, which I mite forget while working in near future, etc.

Anyway, as I am saying, I think I am the odd man out here, as all this time, I have been on tutsplus, I have never seen anyone complaining about screencasts, etc.
Anyway keep up the good work. I do go through the text-based tutorials that comes along from time to time.

Sorry if I am complaining too much. You guyz are rockstars. Keep the awesomeness coming.. :)

    Thanks for your comments guys.

@Alok I understand how text tutorials might come in handy and the absolut perfect tutorial would be text + images + the video version, but that would be redundant most of the times, not to mention the extra work.

From my perspective, the very first tutorial I made was video, so I don’t have any experience with written ones. But who knows, I might try one :D

    Hey,
What is the setting that helps position your elements when you move. I notice that temporary guides show up that help you align your elements with respect to other elements when you begin to move them.
I would love to enable that setting rather than having tonnes of guides on.

    Great tutorial, man.
Off-topic: How do you open a preview of the image, but not opening the “Preview” app? It looks very handy and very quick.
    Thanks
