It’s not too hard to do at all. Assuming you want to use compass and ruby (best friends for life)

        1) Install Ruby
        2) In ruby, use the “gem install sass” command
        3) In ruby, use the “gem install compass” command
        4) use “compass init” in the folder you want to start a new project with compass and sass

From there a whole lot of options are available for you to then use your favorite text editor, start a .sass or .scss file and get going.

You can use “compass watch” on the ruby command line and whenever you save your .sass/.scss file, it’ll automatically be compiled for you.

Similarly, you can use “sass –watch” to do the same thing, but for you beginning out I would avoid it as it needs more specific syntax to work as intended in a compass-dependent project.

Yes! I have been waiting for the continuation of this session :) Learning Sass has really changed my workflow, and thankfully for the better. Thank you for your excellent and well-paced explanations, these tuts really and very unexpectedly had a big impact on me. I think now I am trying to see how make the experience more seamless (i.e moving from workspace and working with a team while using SASS), but I think that will just come through practice.

    Thanks again.
