Welcome to Exploring CSS Pseudo-Elements. In this course, you will learn about a very powerful subset of CSS that is rarely used to its full potential. We’ll explore practical applications of CSS pseudo-elements (not to be confused with pseudo-classes) which help keep structure and presentation separate in our web designs. We’ll also look at some less well known pseudo-elements, which may become more commonly used in the future.

Hello, and welcome to Exploring CSS Pseudo-elements. My name is Craig Campbell, and I will be your instructor for this course. My goal in this course is to make you aware of a seldom used subset of the CSS specification known as pseudo-elements. And to show you some tips for using these pseudo-elements effectively in your web designs. So we'll talk a little bit about what pseudo-elements are and how they differ from pseudo-classes. Then you will dive into these pseudo-elements one at a time as you learn creative ways to incorporate them into your work. So before we get started let me point out that the files we'll be using in this course have been saved in a project files folder. And I want to encourage you to download this folder from the course website so you can follow along. So, let me start by thanking you for watching this course and in the next lesson, we'll get started talking about pseudo-elements are.Back to the top
