Cactus for Mac is a free OS X application for generating static websites. Static websites don’t require a database or server-side processing, they perform very well, and they are extremely secure. For these reasons many people are ditching dynamic blogs and websites in favor of static builds. In this course we’re going to use Cactus to create your first static website. Once it’s built, we’ll set up some hosting using Amazon Web Services and deploy our static files to the web. There’s plenty to do, so let’s get stuck in!
