3.1 Wrapping Up
You’ve just completed “Start Here: Learn Layout CSS”—great work! Let’s have a quick recap of what you’ve learned, and touch briefly on what we’ll be covering in the next course in our “Start Here” series.
3.1 Wrapping Up
Hey, welcome to the final video in Start Here, Learn CSS Layout. You've now completed three out of the four courses in our Start Here series. You've started from the absolute beginning and you've now gone all the way through to having a site with HTML that you understand, typography that you've hand-coded and now a layout that you've set up as well. You know what rim units are and why we use them in layout. You know how to control sizing with all the different width and hide properties. You know how to control alignment using floating, clearing, and text aligning on block or inline elements. You know how to set up spacing using margin and padding. You also have worked with borders and the box sizing property. Finally, you also know how to take a design and make it responsive by applying media queries, by adjusting your columns, your spacing and your text sizing. Now that you are three-quarters of the way through the Start Here series, you're also three-quarters of the way through completing an entire website. Now in the next course, you're going to be learning about CSS backgrounds and coloring and you're going to take the site that you've been working on so far and you're going to turn it into this. You'll be learning how to apply background colors and how to apply background images. You'll learn how to apply text colors, including link colors. You'll learn about applying border colors, about how to create shadow effects using CSS3, and then you'll also go through the process of how to apply the coloring and backgrounds that you see in this final design here. I hope you're really enjoying the Start Here series and that you're looking forward to wrapping up the whole process in the final course, Learn CSS, Colors and Backgrounds. Thanks again and I'll see you in the next one.
