2.1 Plugin Installation and Activation
Welcome to the first lesson of this short course, where you'll learn how to install and activate Page Builder. To get started, after you purchase the plugin on Code Canyon, go ahead and download the files, and you'll end up with something like this. The JS composer.zip is the only file you're going to need. Now because this is word press plug in, we need word press installation. I am working locally, I got this installation of word press 4.9.5, which is the latest version at the time of this recording. I got it up and running using Mam for Mac but if you're using Windows, setting it up is really easy as well. I'm not gonna go over it here because I'm assuming you have some WordPress knowledge, and you already have a WordPress environment to work in. So, once you downloaded the files, go to Plugins, Add New. Upload plugin, Choose File, navigate to your downloaded folder. Select js.composer and hit Open. After the plugin is installed, go ahead and activate it. I already have it activated here. Once you do that, you'll find this new entry in your WordPress sidebar menu. So go ahead and open that up and now you're ready to start using the plugin. Now, in the next lesson, we'll quickly go over what settings you should change to properly set up the plugin for your own workflow. So, I'll see you in the next lesson.
