This post is part of a series called 60 Second Video Tutorials.
“Atom” is my code editor of choice, and one of the reasons for that is its support for third-party plugins. Here are my top three, in sixty seconds!
My Top 3 Atom Plugins
- The first one is Emmet; very well known and widely supported across a wide range of editors. Emmet allows you to write shorthand code and then expand it to the real thing. It works with HTML, CSS, Sass, and LESS.
- The second plugin is “pigments”. This will display colors in your files; really useful when writing CSS. It can also do conversions to other color formats such as rgba and hsl.
- Coming in at number three is a plugin called WordPress API and it’s essential for any WordPress developer. It provides fantastic snippets with ready to use code and also auto-completion support for the core functions in the WordPress API.
