2.8 The HTML5 Shim

You may know this technique as the HTML5 Shiv, as coined by John Resig. However, technically, a shiv is something that you’d murdered somebody in prison with! For our purposes, it allows us to style HTML5 tags in Internet Explorer 8 and below.
