2.1 What Is Auto Layout in Figma?
So what is this wondrous new feature in Figma that everyone’s talking about?
It’s called “auto layout” and is applicable to frames. The way it works is very straightforward: when you add auto layout to a frame, all the items nested in that frame will be stacked next to each other. This means that the total frame size is determined by the size of the nested items.
The best thing about this is that you can set horizontal and vertical padding to the main frame and also determine the distance between the nested items. So let’s jump into Figma and see it in action.
