Welcome to this, the first in our series of “Start Here” courses featuring CSS. In this short course, we’ll be focusing on typography. Let’s begin with an introductory video in which I’ll show you how the course is structured and what you can expect to learn. I’ll see you there!
1.1 Welcome
If you're a budding web designer and you're ready to learn CSS, then start here. Now, the CSS courses in our Start Here series are gonna teach you everything that you need to know in order to become a solid CSS coder. And we're gonna begin with a focus on typography. We're gonna start by introducing you to CSS itself. We'll give you all the foundational information that you need to follow along comfortably with all the CSS we cover in the series. Then we're gonna move into CSS typography, where you're gonna learn about CSS font properties. You're gonna learn about web-safe fonts, custom fonts, and font stacks. You'll learn about spacing and typography. You'll learn about the different type of units that you can use when you're setting out your typography. And then finally, you're gonna take a basic HTML page just like the one that you created in the previous course and you're going to completely style its typography from scratch. So let's go ahead and start here and learn typography CSS. I'll see you in the first lesson.
