3.1 Wrapping Up
Hey, welcome to the final video in VisBug Quick Start. So you pretty much know everything that there is to know about VisBug now. There are couple of other little bits and pieces to working with VisBug, but everything that you really need to know to dig into working with the system, we've gone through. So now you know how to inspect all of the different aspects of your site, including making sure that your accessibility stuff is up to par. You know how to work with color, you know how to modify layout, you know how to modify typography and content, including text and image content. And you've got a few different ways that you can preserve all of the changes that you've made while you've been working with VisBug. So as I mentioned, you can actually do a lot of really powerful work with this tool. We have another course coming up where I'm gonna show you how to take a template that starts out looking like this. And then using VisBug for 95% of the changes, and DevTools for about 5%, going to turn it into this. So it looks completely different, the style has completely changed, the color scheme has changed, and the content has changed as well. So you can see from how different the template looks before and after, that there really is a lot that you can achieve with VisBug. To me, this extension really fills a gap that hasn't quite been filled in web design before. We often said that design is best done in the browser, and this extension, I think if applied well, gives us a way to make that statement more true than it has been before. Sometimes, when we're working purely in code, it creates a kind of disconnect. Where for design, sometimes, you need to have a bit more immediacy in the responses to the changes that you're making so that you can get into a flow. And even though VisBug isn't, at the moment, gonna produce the exact code that you wanna put into deployment, it does give you a way to create that immediacy and flow that I was talking about when you're figuring out what code does need to be put into your site. So I hope you will join me in the second course where we go through really putting VisBug to work in a practical situation. But for now, thank you so much for taking this course, and I will see you in the next one.
